This Peas in the Pod session explores a provocative premise: neurolinking may eventually replace traditional cognitive tests, including many certification and licensure exams, shifting assessment toward durable skills, soft skills, and non-cognitive competencies. As AI increasingly supports or performs routine cognitive work, conventional exams may become less central to credentialing decisions. Neurolinking could connect behavioral evidence, simulations, workplace performance, AI-assisted tasks, decision patterns, and longitudinal outcomes to provide richer evidence of competence. This discussion will ask what remains essential to assess when AI changes the role of knowledge testing: adaptability, communication, ethical reasoning, collaboration, resilience, professionalism, leadership, and performance in ambiguous real-world situations.
