As AI-assisted cheating, item theft, test preknowledge, proxy testing, and unauthorized assistance continue to challenge assessment programs, testing organizations must look beyond traditional security controls. This poster explores how modern assessment designs—including Linear-on-the-Fly Testing (LOFT), Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), Randomly Parallel Testing (RPT), and Embedded Verification Testing (EVT)—can make exams inherently more resistant to fraud. Attendees will learn how large item banks, dynamic test assembly, item sampling, and AI-assisted content generation reduce item exposure, limit the value of compromised content, and disrupt organized cheating efforts. The session also examines emerging psychometric frameworks that support measuring performance across a content domain rather than a fixed test form. Discover how security-by-design can help create assessment programs that remain valid, reliable, and defensible in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
