Workforce or skill-based credentials in education have been associated with skilled labor or trades. However, this attitude is changing as industry credentials and transferable skills are seen as valuable for all students. Panelists will share examples of industry credentials that are being used in education for purposes ranging from workforce eligibility to product-based skill certification to pre-professional recruitment. Panelists will discuss how testing industry collaboration can respond to cross-sector goals of personalization, pipeline development, pathways to practice, and career progression.
