Name
Designing with Learners: Human-Centered Assessment in Practice
Description

Assessment organizations continue to invest in AI, psychometrics, digital delivery, and assessment science. Yet one of the richest sources of innovation remains underused: learner voice. This panel explores how engaging learners can improve candidate experience while advancing equity, fairness, and impact. Drawing on insights from diverse learner populations, panelists will show how learners value assessment systems that translate results into meaningful action, provide clear guidance, communicate with authenticity and transparency, offer accessible and flexible experiences, and connect outcomes to real educational and career opportunities. Participants will learn how human-centered design complements technical excellence by reducing barriers, strengthening trust, and making assessment results more understandable, actionable, and equitable. The session concludes with practical strategies for embedding learner voice throughout assessment design and development.
