Name
The Advocate Pipeline: A Framework for Turning Stakeholders into Champions
Description
The Advocate Pipeline is a four-stage framework for understanding how credential holders, candidates, SMEs, and board members move from passive participants to active champions of a program: Aware (they know the program exists and what it stands for), Engaged (they participate in surveys, town halls, digital badges), Invested (they contribute their expertise for JTA panels, mentorship, governance), and Advocate (they actively recruit, defend, and promote the program in their professional networks). Most programs pour resources into the first stage and wonder why advocacy never materializes because engagement and investment are treated as nice-to-haves rather than as deliberate, sequenced stages with their own design requirements.
Panelists will walk through where programs get stuck and share tested tactics for moving stakeholders forward at each stage.
