Jonathan Rubright, PhD, is the founder and principal of Empirically Sound LLC, a consulting practice advising assessment organizations on high-stakes testing, research infrastructure, and assessment leadership. He spent 10 years at the National Board of Medical Examiners, culminating in his role as Vice President of Research Strategy, where he directed the organization's research portfolio. Earlier in his career, he served as Lead Psychometrician at the AICPA and contributed to clinical research at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a PhD in Research Methodology and Evaluation from the University of Delaware and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania. His work encompasses measurement science, research governance, and the leadership of interdisciplinary teams across complex, high-stakes environments.
