Dr. Richard Brown is the Director of Psychometrics and Research at the Council. He leads research and assessment activities that support the validity, fairness, and defensibility of the Council’s credentials. His work includes overseeing job task analyses, validation studies, and assessment development across multiple credentials, including the Child Development Associate, Child Development Professional, and Youth Development Associate. Dr. Brown brings extensive expertise in psychometrics, research design, and credentialing best practices to guide evidence based decision making and continuous improvement.
