Want to develop items that mimic a structured interview? Want to create Performance Testing items that measure candidate ability to anticipate problems? The new wave of AI and VR technologies provides opportunities to take testing to new dimensions that multiple-choice items simply can’t address. This session not only discusses the theory underlying VR and Conversational Testing; it illustrates the principles with actual items. In the past, Performance Testing has been encumbered by problems of logistics, scoring and scaling that reduced the viability of Performance testing. Current developments in Virtual Reality resolve many of these problems and make Performance Testing a viable option. This session presents Performance Testing items (both VR and Conversational) impossible to duplicate with conventional MC or ‘innovative’ item types.
