John Weiner is an independent adviser specializing in assessment, innovation, R&D, and AI for assessment-focused organizations. With four decades of experience in the industry, he was previously PSI's Chief Science Officer, overseeing global consulting, R&D, psychometrics, and assessment content. His expertise centers on the intersection of measurement science and technology, with a commitment to ethical, responsible AI use. John has developed innovative solutions for various sectors, served as an expert witness and arbitrator, and contributed actively to professional groups such as SIOP and ATP, where he chaired the board in 2020. He has delivered over 160 conference presentations, co-authored a book and several chapters, co-edited the ITC/ATP Guidelines for Technology-Based Assessment, and is a SIOP Fellow and recipient of ATP’s 2024 Professional Contributions and Service to Testing Award.
