John Weiner is a senior adviser at ACT, specializing in strategic consulting for assessment strategies, practices, products, and technologies. With over four decades in the assessment industry his expertise spans the education, credentialing, and talent assessment sectors. John previously served as Chief Science Officer at PSI, overseeing global consulting, R&D, psychometrics, and assessment content. His professional focus is centered on the convergence of measurement science and technology, with an emphasis on the responsible and ethical application of technology-enabled assessments, including AI. He has led the development of solutions that meet legal and professional standards for organizations across sectors and has served as an expert and arbitrator in testing cases. John is an active member of SIOP, where he serves on the Committee for the Advancement of Professional Ethics, and is a former chair of the ATP board. He has delivered 170+ conference presentations, co-authored a book and book chapters, contributed to industry guidelines, and is a SIOP Fellow and recipient of ATP’s 2024 Professional Contributions Award.
