Biography
Josh Goodman, currently serving as the Vice President of Research and Exam Programs at the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), brings a rich academic background with B.A.s in Anthropology and Biology from the University of Delaware. Further, he holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Educational Research Methodology, specializing in measurement, from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
In his current role at NCCPA, Dr. Goodman oversees all aspects of test development, psychometric activities, and exam administration across the organization’s 20 exam programs. His responsibilities also extend to collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare workforce researchers. Dr. Goodman’s research contributions have been instrumental in addressing a multitude of testing issues. His work encompasses the development and application of longitudinal assessments in certification and licensure exams, standard setting methods, adaptive testing, and automated item generation.
