Johnna Gueorgueiva, Ph.D., ICE-CCP, CAE is the Sr. Psychometrician and Director of Assessments for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). She has been working in the testing industry as a psychometrician for 25 years. The majority of her time has been in the credentialing space, with a few years in K-12 with Riverside Publishing working on formative assessments.

In 2024-2025, Dr. Gueorguieva provided assessment expertise on a workgroup composed of professionals from across dentistry in the development of the Dental Assisting Professional Model. The goals of the model are to support dental assistants, the dental community, and the public. The model does this by fostering workforce growth, elevating the profession, and supporting career advancement and mobility — all in service of enhancing the ability to recruit and retain qualified dental assistants.
