Joanne Rinella is the Director of Assessment and Reporting at the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). She provides strategic leadership in the modernization and digital transformation of EQAO’s assessments, working collaboratively with the agency’s education partners. Joanne also oversees the School Support and Outreach, Creative Services, and Operations/Special Projects teams.
Since joining EQAO in 2005, Joanne has held several key roles. She began as an Education Officer with the Primary Junior assessment team and, in 2008, became an Assessment Program Manager, where she led the development and delivery of the Primary and Junior, Grade 9, and OSSLT/TPCL assessments. Her deep expertise and commitment to educational quality continue to shape EQAO’s evolving assessment landscape.
