Andrew Jones, Ph.D, is the Chief Operations and Assessment Officer at the American Board of Surgery (ABS) where he oversees psychometrics, exam development, assessment operations, and information technology. Dr. Jones has published research related to psychometrics and assessment in the medical professions. Dr. Jones has served in various leadership positions in professional educational measurement societies and has served as chair of two American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) advisory groups for research and psychometrics. He is currently chair of the ABMS Database and Information Technology Advisory Committee (DITAC) and a co-chair of the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) Mission Fund.
