Yoichi Matsuyama is the Co-Founder and CEO of Equmenopolis, Inc., and an Associate Research Professor at the Perceptual Computing Laboratory, Waseda University. His research focuses on developing computational models of human conversation by integrating artificial intelligence, linguistics, social science, and human-agent interaction. Prior to his current roles, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Language Technologies Institute and the Human-Computer Interaction Institute in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a B.A. in cognitive psychology and media studies, and both an M.E. and Ph.D. in computer science from Waseda University, earned in 2005, 2008, and 2015, respectively.
