Eric D’Astolfo has more than 30 years of experience in the K–12, higher education and certification-licensure testing industries, including leadership roles in test development, program management and sales.
Currently, Eric serves as Vice President of Business Development with Pearson VUE, where he leads new sales and client management for more than 200 credentialing programs across several verticals, including healthcare, finance, Federal programs, and state regulatory licensure.
Eric began his career with The Princeton Review as Executive Director of Princeton Review Canada. He’s held several senior positions with a range of testing organizations, including Harcourt and Scantron.
Eric has served on the executive committee of the Innovations in Testing conference from 2013 through 2016. He also served as Conference Chair and as a closing keynote speaker of the 2016 Innovations in Testing conference, where he and other ATP colleagues presented on the topic of Reclaiming the Conversation. In 2017, Eric was elected to ATP’s Board of Directors, and currently serves as Treasurer, an Officer of the Board.
Eric continues to actively promote dialogue on important topics in the testing industry. In 2021 and 2022, Eric organized and moderated a series of panel discussions for ATP’s New World of Testing series, including a forum on defending the value proposition of standardized testing, and most recently a discussion with subject matter experts about measuring collusion and managing security risks associated with multi-modal testing. Eric’s interest and professional focus continues to be on the value of credentialing and how disruptive technologies like generative AI can help transform our industry and the broader credentialing community.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from New York University and a master’s degree in English and American Letters from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
