Haley Vanness is the Director of Certification and Programming at Water Professionals International (WPI), where she leads the strategy, development, and administration of certification programs serving water and wastewater professionals worldwide. During her tenure, she has helped expand and strengthen WPI’s in-house certification programs, improving processes, increasing participation, and enhancing the overall value of credentials for both professionals and employers.

Her work centers on strategic initiatives that advance workforce development, modernize assessment practices, and integrate emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—into credentialing operations.
