Dr. Sheng Li is the Principal Investigator of the AiTEM Project and a Quantitative Foundation Associate Professor of Data Science at the University of Virginia. His research interests include Trustworthy AI, Generative AI, Causal Inference, Large Foundation Models, and AI for Educational Assessment. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, and has received over 10 research awards, such as the INNS Aharon Katzir Young Investigator Award and Fred C. Davidson Early Career Scholar Award. His research has been funded by the NSF, NIH, DOD, and industry. He organized the First Workshop on Large Foundation Models for Educational Assessment at NeurIPS 2024.
