Dr. Amanda Hajji Minnillo is the President-Elect of the Southern Conference on Language Teaching and a Senior Professional Learning Specialist at Avant Assessment. She partners with educational institutions worldwide to deliver keynote talks and support curriculum design, educator development, program evaluation, instructional coaching, and proficiency benchmarking. She presents internationally on language proficiency, engaging pedagogy, leadership development, and coaching practices.
Amanda specialises in experiential professional learning, empowering educators and educational leaders with practical strategies. Her work supports world language, heritage language, immersion, and multilingual programs from early years through continuing university education.
She has been featured on Language Lounge and All Things Arabic podcasts, and her published research explores cross-cultural coaching, systems change, and leadership development for language and migrant educators. She has also served as a language specialist on research projects advancing dual language learner education.
Before joining Avant, Amanda worked as a French teacher and the district-level specialist in World Language and Dual Language Immersion. Amanda holds a Doctorate in Educational Practice and Innovation, a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, and certifications in French, TESOL, and Education. Her work focuses on building leadership capacity, supporting teacher well-being, and promoting systemic growth in multilingual education.
