Jim has extensive experience as Chief Commercial Officer and Company Director at BTL Group, where he is responsible for overseeing BTL's business development and growth strategy across the UK, North America and ROW. With a detailed understanding of the different assessment markets, emerging technologies and business processes involved in the production and delivery of secure and innovative assessments, he oversees the management of BTL's business development function and works closely with their technical departments to ensure their products and services remain at the cutting edge.
Jim's passion for creating better assessments started in 2005 with his career in the education sector, where he worked as lead designer on e-learning projects for some of the world's most recognizable brands such as HSBC, UNESCO and Boots. After joining BTL, he became the Product Owner responsible for overseeing the design and development of their new SaaS-based software platform, Surpass R12, and ensuring this new platform would become their primary offering for the future. Following the successful release and continued growth of Surpass, he switched career paths to join the business development team which he now manages.
