Dr. Ye Tong is the Senior Vice President of Assessment Operations at the National Board of Medical Examiners. In this role, she oversees content and test development, psychometric and data analysis and operations management. A nationally recognized measurement leader and expert, Dr. Tong has produced presentations and publications in the areas of assessment design and development, balanced assessment systems and assessment policy. Additionally, her work encompasses technical psychometrics theory and practices related to item response theory, generalizability theory, equating and scaling.
Dr. Tong serves as a co-chair for the Joint Committee that is revising the “Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing” – a joint publication since 1966 by APA, AERA and NCME. Dr. Tong is a past president for National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME), one of the founding board of directors of Women in Measurement and is on the advisory panel for the Center for Measurement Justice. Dr. Tong serves on the technical advisory committee (TAC) for a number of states and organizations and is on the editorial boards for the Journal of Educational Measurement, Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice, and Education Assessments.
