This session explores trends and “hot topics” for organisations that make reasonable adjustment decisions. There has been a recent steep rise in the volume of requests for adjustments on exams, as well as a rise in new technologies to support candidates with disabilities. Some of these newer requests come with test security concerns and may challenge our ideas about fairness. The presenter—a disability expert who provides guidance to 20+ multinational high-stakes testing organisations -- will share specific case examples to illustrate each point, and will also provide practical, concrete suggestions for addressing these challenges. The session will allow generous time for audience questions and discussion.
