Professional certifications are only as valuable as the learning they represent. Yet most exam security efforts focus on protecting exam content rather than analysing how candidates prepare. This session explores how behavioural analytics from practice assessments can reveal meaningful patterns in candidate preparation. By analysing answer behaviour, confidence levels, timing patterns, and knowledge gap recurrence across thousands of preparation attempts, it is possible to identify distinct preparation profiles among certification candidates. Through a real-world case study based on large-scale certification preparation data, this session demonstrates how preparation analytics can support exam integrity, strengthen candidate readiness, and provide new insights for certification providers and assessment organisations seeking to protect the credibility of professional credentials.
