Currently the Senior Vice President, Testing Program Management and Project Management Office at Pearson VUE, and a member of its senior leadership team, Bridget Herd has championed progress in the assessments industry for more than 27 years.

With considerable experience spanning professional certification and licensure segments, clinical assessments, and education technology, Bridget has partnered with more than 500 global cross-industry exam program owners to solve complex challenges across all facets of testing – from exam development and delivery, to candidate management, program growth and evolution, to test security and the adoption of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Bridget's experience provides her with both an in-depth understanding of all aspects of professional testing and essential insights into the challenges facing the industry, giving her a unique and valuable perspective. She is widely seen as an authoritative voice and decision-maker for all assessment-related matters, as well as an in-demand industry speaker.

She has been an active member of ATP for 24 years, during which time she has held diverse roles including Chair of the Clinical Division and as Chair of the 2025 ATP conference. In 2022, she facilitated “Meta Learning and Collaborative Inclusive Design,” the closing ATP conference keynote on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

Bridget holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. For fun, you will find Bridget outdoors (yes even in the Minnesota winters) exercising with her yellow labrador Remy.
