Margaret Bryndal PhD, is the Associate Director of Assessment Research and Development at Kaplan Assessments, specialising in learning measurement and evaluation. In this role, she drives the research agenda and academic product innovation for cloud-based, computerised-adaptive English language test (the Kaplan Test of English - KTE), while serving as Chair of the KTE Technical Advisory Board. Her work focuses on designing, developing, and evaluating robust, evidence-based assessments, with a particular emphasis on the digitisation of assessment lifecycles, establishing and implementing quality assurance systems, and aligning assessments with international frameworks such as the CEFR. Previously, she served as the Associate Director of Learning Measurement and Evaluation at Kaplan International Pathways’ Centre for Learning Innovation and Quality (CLIQ). She has authored several publications, presented research findings, and received grants for her contributions to the field. Margaret holds a PhD in Linguistics and an MA in Linguistics and Information Science from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan, Poland, and professional qualifications in project management and English language teaching.
