Øyvind Meistad is the founder and CEO of Enovate AS, a Norwegian company specializing in innovative digital learning and assessment solutions. He holds a degree in Pedagogical Information Science from the University of Bergen and co-founded Enovate in 2003, driven by a strong interest in the intersection of technology and learning.

Under his leadership, Enovate has developed advanced software for digital assessments, competence management, and emergency preparedness, serving clients across education, aviation, and public safety sectors. The company is recognized for building practical, user-centered solutions that scale across complex organizations.

Øyvind has also been instrumental in creating several successful spin-offs, including Rayvn AS, a leading incident management platform, and Flexit!Fire, a competence management system for fire and rescue services, later acquired by Bliksund. At its peak, Flexit!Fire supported the administration and documentation of competencies for approximately 40% of Norwegian fire departments.

With over two decades of experience, Øyvind is known for translating complex operational and regulatory requirements into robust digital systems. He continues to lead Enovate with a focus on innovation, lifelong learning, and the responsible use of technology, including exploring how AI can improve the quality and fairness of skills assessment.
