Foresight research has mapped the change drivers reshaping credentialing, but how do program leaders put that research to work — and ensure strategic conversations connect to tactical execution? This session presents a practical framework for structuring future-oriented work, illustrated by two contrasting case studies: a one-day assessment modernization summit convening staff, board, and volunteer leaders, and industry experts, and a board of directors reflection exercise tied to the strategic planning cycle. Presenters will show how attendees can design their own approach based on their governance structure, history, capacity, and readiness for change — and trace how these engagements translated into adjustments to strategic plans, product strategy and roadmaps, and engagement with employers, hiring managers, and education partners. Attendees will leave with frameworks, discussion structures, and practical guidance — no prior foresight experience required.
