Matt works with teams across Pearson Professional Assessments to improve the accessibility of assessment platforms, products, and services and to support the accessibility and accommodation needs of test candidates. He oversees both the Accessibility Services and Accommodations Review teams, leading accessibility quality assurance efforts and collaborating with client program management and external partners to address accessibility questions and complex accommodation scenarios.
Prior to joining Pearson, Matt was a school psychologist in a K–12 setting for over 13 years, where he focused on clinical assessment and the use of technology to support students in their home school settings. He joined Pearson in 2013 and transitioned into a dedicated accessibility role in 2018. Matt has over 26 years of experience in assessment, disability, and accessibility and holds master’s and specialist degrees in education. He is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies.
