Channing Benson is the Program Manager for Examinations at the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB), where she oversees multiple programs, including the development, administration, and governance of high-stakes credentialing examinations for the veterinary profession. She works closely with subject matter experts, volunteer committees, and industry partners to support defensible exam development, operational excellence, and continuous program improvement.

With more than a decade of leadership experience, Channing has developed expertise in volunteer and subject matter expert (SME) engagement, governance, and program management. Her work focuses on creating sustainable systems that strengthen recruitment, onboarding, communication, and long-term engagement while supporting program quality and integrity.

An active contributor to the credentialing community, Channing serves on the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) Testing by Doing Subcommittee and is an ICE Certified Credentialing Professional (ICE-CCP). She is passionate about building collaborative partnerships with SMEs and helping organizations develop governance structures that enhance volunteer engagement, meeting effectiveness, and exam quality.
