Francis O’Donnell is a Senior Psychometrician at NBME, where she works on summative and formative assessment for medical students. Her areas of interest include validity, operational psychometrics, and the design and evaluation of score reporting systems. She has led and supported initiatives to redesign score reports, including the introduction of dashboards. She has also co-authored the chapter “Reporting Scores and Other Results” in the latest edition of Educational Measurement. Francis received her doctorate in psychometrics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and joined NBME in 2020.
