Description

Curious about how assessments and exams are built? Join us for an interactive workshop that demystifies the test development process from start to finish. Whether you're new to the field or looking to deepen your understanding, this session offers valuable insights for all experience levels.
We’ll walk through the full lifecycle of exam development—including job/task analysis (JTA), content creation, form assembly, scoring and reporting, and standard setting. Along the way, we’ll connect each step to recognized best practices and industry standards such as NCCA, ISO 17024:2012, and AERA/APA/NCME guidelines.
Expect practical examples, helpful handouts, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify the core components of a sound test development process
  • Align test design strategies with your program’s unique goals and challenges

No prior knowledge is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn!
