Laura M. Williams, PhD is a member of the Credential Integrity team at Western Governors University. In her role as a Senior Lead Assessment Strategist, she collaborates across the organization to establish university standards, practices, and policy related to assessment in WGU’s competency-based model. Laura has also held various roles in assessment and content development , including Assessment Program Manager and Senior Manager of Design and Development. Laura earned her PhD in Assessment & Measurement at James Madison University, where her dissertation research focused on test-taking motivation in low-stakes testing environments and the impact to score validity.
