Kara Gwaltney is passionate about protecting the integrity of exams and the futures they shape. As Director of Security Operations and Compliance at the AAMC, she leads efforts to protect the integrity of high stakes testing and ensure fairness in medical school admissions. The AAMC serves over 170 medical institutions and delivers exams to over 130,000 potential future doctors each year.

Kara has focused on higher education program management for most of her career. Prior to stepping into the world of exam security, she served as an academic advisor and directed a nationwide program that aligns corporate training offerings with verified college credit to serve nontraditional learners.

Building collaborative partnerships across the testing industry, Kara champions fair practices that safeguard millions of test takers each year. Her hope is that by sharing real world stories of exam security challenges and solutions we can bring practical insight to complex issues.
