Dr. Steven Hirsch serves as a senior psychometrician, providing consultation and leadership to our clients on developing and maintaining content-valid and reliable examination programs. Dr. Hirsch conducts job analysis studies, calculates examination blueprints, and facilitates standard setting activities. He also prepares project reports, counsels clients on certification-related topics, and assists clients in achieving and maintaining third party accreditation. He is a highly trained and talented facilitator of examination-related activities with psychometric and test development experience in the certification and licensure industry.

Prior to joining Meazure learning, Dr. Hirsch was employed as an industrial psychologist and statistician with OutSolve. In that role, Dr. Hirsch worked with clients and legal counsel to assess legal risk by performing pay equity analyses between gender or racial groups based on State, Federal, and international law. In addition to his skills in performing job analysis studies, Dr. Hirsch brings extensive knowledge in the areas of legal compliance for selection and compensation practices, and human resources best practices. He is also knowledgeable in several statistical techniques, research design, and in data interpretation and has experience teaching psychometrics and the R programming language.

Prior to earning his advanced degrees, Dr. Hirsch worked as a District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America, where he used his communications, volunteer management, and team-building skills to grow youth membership, increase fundraising, and expand the Boy Scouts’ partnership to 38 diverse chartering organizations. Dr. Hirsch earned his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in East Asian Studies from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
