Liberty Munson is the Director of Psychometrics for Microsoft’s technical credentialing program, where she leads initiatives focused on delivering high-quality exams and assessments that empower learners and professionals worldwide. With deep expertise in certification and assessment strategies, she has played a key role in shaping Microsoft’s approach to credentialing and driving innovation in the assessment industry.

A recognized leader in assessment, Liberty is a frequent speaker on technology-driven assessment innovation, accessibility, and the future of skills measurement. Her commitment to inclusivity and excellence has been recognized with the eAssessment Association’s Practitioner of the Year Award (2024) and the Credentialing Industry Leadership Award from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (2025).

Before joining Microsoft, Liberty held roles at Boeing in employee selection and internal certification and managed the company’s employee survey program. Liberty Munson holds a BS in Psychology from Iowa State University and both MA and PhD degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with minors in Quantitative Psychology and Human Resource Management, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
