As assessment delivery becomes more digital and distributed, governance plays a critical role in ensuring fairness, compliance and trust. This session explores how governance frameworks operate in practice across European environments, focusing on four key areas: roles and responsibilities, process standardisation, audit and monitoring, and risk management. Using real-world examples from test centre and remote delivery models, it highlights how structured oversight can support defensible outcomes without over-constraining delivery. The session also considers the European regulatory context, including data protection and accessibility requirements.
