Jo is a skilled Psychometrician at Kaplan Assessments and applies rigorous statistical analyses for the evaluation and quality assurance of the high-stakes Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). With a prior background in medical and dental education and assessment, Jo draws on over 20 years of experience in the high-stakes assessment field. With a particular interest in the fairness of assessments, aspects of her work have explored the performance of candidates with disabilities and differing reasonable adjustments, leading to her wider insight about the challenges of evidencing the effectiveness of these. Having provided workshops and presented at several conferences, Jo approaches every presentation as an exciting opportunity to share her knowledge and research whilst at the same time gaining knowledge from the audience.
