Longitudinal assessment offers a robust framework for lifelong learning, with the potential to foster sustained engagement and deeper learning for participating practitioners. But how do these programs evolve over time for both certifying boards and the professionals they serve? Three different medical certification boards have implemented longitudinal assessment programs for renewal / maintenance of certification and are each at a different point in their journey. This session will compare their experiences, examining psychometric outcomes, candidate engagement, security challenges, and more. Attendees will gain insights into how these programs have changed, how perceptions and performance metrics have shifted over time, and what the future may hold. By bringing together perspectives from boards at different stages of implementation, this session promises a unique opportunity to celebrate what’s working, what’s evolving, and what’s next in longitudinal assessment.
